Patient safety should be the first priority in healthcare system

World patient safety day is celebrated on 17th September to improve patient safety.

The most prior thing in patient safety is to prevent harm especially during patient treatment and care. All errors in patient care should be minimized and avoided.

Patients must not be neglected in health care system it would be a great damage to our health care system. It is the utmost responsibility of health care system to provide care to patients whether they are acutely ill or chronically ill.

Patients must be taken care according to their medical demands and must be assured that they are getting the best of their medical treatment.

Especially during this covid-19 phase, all patients should be handled with extra care but their treatment should not be ignored, delayed or postponed due to this pandemic.

We as a society should raise our voice regarding patient safety. This particular day is celebrated to highlight patient safety in our health care system.

Few points must be highlighted regarding patient care that includes patient safe surgery, use of high alert medicines, lessen the risk of hospital infections.
